It should work as long as you take them out as they are getting ready to hatch lol. I thought of that my eggs have initials for the type of chicken on each egg. DE for Delaware, BM for barn mix and LB for light brahma but that won't help when they are running around lol

well all are buttons.. but i will move them as soon as lockdowns needed.

I saw someone in one of the styrofoam type incubators made plastic canvas mesh boxes and separated the eggs at lockdown.
so that when they hatched they were all separated by breed/color so that when you have all yellow chicks or what have you

you wont have to guess what is what. then you can put a leg band on or a zip tie.

Can I join, I set 14 barnyard mix eggs today along with 11 black spanish turkey eggs and I will be adding one more turkey egg tomorrow, a red burbon egg. I had to time the hatches for after our vacation at camp for the week.

That's a great price

That's what I'm using and it's been great! Holds heat better than you'd expect when the top is off, then heats back up quickly. It isn't erratic heating though. It goes to it's set temp and stops, instead of over shooting and then cooling too much
