Today is hatch day 12 in lockdown... 6 hatched so far. 5 barnvelders and 1 blue maran

I was finally able to candle my eggs! I candled the 2 lightest ones AND THERE WERE BABIES IN THEM!!! YAY ME!!!

My first time with broodies was a success - so far. One broody hatched all 7 of her eggs between yesterday and this afternoon. The other hatched 2 of her 7 (I'll wait a couple days on the others) . 8 Welsummers and 1 EE - yah!

Mine are still in lockdown but I know in a few days we will have chicks, I just know it!!!
