Setting eggs tomorrow, anyone want to join?

My 3 eggs all expired. I candled last night and there had been no growth and all 3 had blood rings. I am bummed and so is my son. But we are staying busy with the new chicks and maybe we'll try again later down the road. I am still watching this thread to see what you all have hatch. :)
Aww, sorry about your loss

I lost mine too, so like you, I'm just keeping an eye out and hoping everyone else will have adorable babies to show us pics of

I'm going into full lockdown 12 hours early, tonight, instead of tomorrow morning. the D'Uccles are ready, they are all pushing into their air cells!!

I found out this morning that my digital indoor/outdoor thermometer that gauges humidity was not at all accurate. I added a mayonnaise jar lid and cut up sponges last night and the humidity never rose over 30%, so I went to the pet store just now and got a dial humidity gauge and put that it and it shot right up to 45%...My goal range is 55-65% by tomorrow morning, then I will boost it another 10%...

I candled everyone this morning and as of right now all 13 are alive and well!

I'm getting so excited, but since it's Easter weekend, I'll be gone half of Saturday and then again half of Sunday...hoping to get and keep my UStream going while I'm not home since I can access the feed from my phone :)

Got your ustream saved....cant wait to see what happens. I got up this morning and had a temp spike, not sure how long it had been up. Looked to be only 103 or 104....dang dang dang!!!!!

I don't think only a couple degrees will hurt it as long as it wasn't for a long long time, I had temp spikes like that too a couple times, but was able to catch them quickly.

We're going into lock down tonight too. When I did a quick candle the other night, it looked like some eggs were solid inside and some I could still see veins. Some had movement and some didn't. Still nothing smells so I guess we'll just wait. I'm still undecided about putting the eggs in cartons or just letting them roll around. Any opinions on that?

*Update*

So, a while ago, I candled my broodies eggs. They were on day 12 and I saw absolutely nothing in most of them. There was a green egg that I could barely see into at all, so I left it. Although, just in case, I gave her five more eggs. Today would be day 7 for them. I candled them, and saw something but a jumbled yolk. I also tried candling the green egg again. Usually I can see a little past the air cell, but this time I couldn't. I'm hoping that's a good sign. It goes into lockdown on Saturday. If it doesn't hatch, I think I'll just have to get some day old chicks for her.

I have no idea how long it was. Like I mentioned before we heat with wood, and hubby had it hot as the hubbs of hell in here this morning. I got up several times last night and it was pretty warm. I dont think it reached the 105 mark. I will candle tonight and see if I can still see movement. Fingers crossed!

Whatever way you started them is the way you should leave them for hatching. That is what I was told. I started mine in cartons, therefore I will leave them in the carton. I am doing one last candling tonight, raising the humidity, then not touching the bator til after hatching starts. My fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else that I can cross are crossed and I'm am also prayin to Lord Almighty that I get some healthy chicks, I hate the feeling of doing something and then feeling like I did it for nothing!

LOL yes it would be a bummer to come up with a zero after they got this far. I had them in a turner and we just laid them on their side with the bigger part of the air sack towards the top. Humidity is at 75%. Now we just have to find a way to get out of Easter dinner on Sunday so we can watch.
