So far i have one chick out. mama is cherping to the others like crazy and they are cherping back.

4 out, 1 pip, 13 peeping... hmmm how did 6 eggs turn into 42 in just a few days?

I locked down on Friday I have 5 pips and a whole bunch of chirping going. Sorry I'm sure to kill your thread, it seems for some reason that happens, I'm starting to get a complex.

I put a batch in lockdown on Saturday evening. 10 of 12 set on 8/31 made it to lockdown, so I should start seeing pips Monday evening or Tuesday morning. The suspense is killing me!

(It's not as if I don't already have 23 chicks in the brooder.

i just locked mine down ...ready to hatch wed the 23..50 of 58 made it this far ..fingers crossed...happy hatching everyone.....btw the 23 and 24 are supposed to be the by the moon hatch according to old farmers almanac...

i have heard the chirping all afternoon and now at least 3 piped on has a nice hole the size of a diime.....
