Setting Mouse Traps. I Can't Be The Only One They Terrify.

Best thing to do to get rid of the mouse is to stuff it down a 2"wide 8" deep dirt hole with a coil spring trap about 6-8" away from it. Now you're trapping the fox that wants to kill your chickens with the mouse that wants eat your chicken food and then shit on your counter top...But that's just my opinion.

:clap:clap:clap:gig:giggood one!
Nothing I could ever do!!

Funny turn of events this morning. No mice in my traps, but a dead mouse in an empty 5 gallon bucket sitting next to the laundry table. Maybe I just need buckets everywhere. :)

That's awesome ohld!
I'll never use snap traps unless it's a have too case. :). I swear by the walk the plank bucket method

Husband is away hunting. I'm home alone. I go to the basement and see a mouse sitting on my dog grooming table. I back up the stairs, and regroup. I go back to the basement and retrieve a mouse trap from the pile of them. I pick carefully as I see one is sitting there still set from last fall.

I put my peanut butter on it, than comes the hard part. I hold down the killing bar and set the trap. Now I gotta figure out how to release it and set it down without setting it off. My heart is pumping and I'm terrified. Such a silly situation. I finally get it released safely and set on the table. I'm so relieved. I feel like I just successfully armed some explosives. This isn't my thing.

This morning, dead mouse. Than I realize I gotta set more traps. :barnie

Anyone else a goof like me when setting a mouse trap, or is it just me?
Them old spring traps on a wooden base have snapped closed on me a few times. I release very slow. I haven't used them in years.
They say if you see one there are a hundred. GC

Well apparently you don't even need water. I'm not sure why it was dead, maybe the fall? Good thing the dogs were sniffing the bucket. These mice probably explain the slight noises I've been hearing. Definitely better than my ghost theory. I don't have a trap for those. :hmm

Why not get some mouse baits and kill the cute little buggers the slow way? When your hubby comes home he may even see the rat pizzen and decide on the spur of the moment that he would rather take you out to dinner than make you slave away in that hot kitchen.

Funny, :) but I have dogs. No bait in the house, my dogs like to sample everything.

Lol! Yes it is a little under nerving to deal with the noises some nights in the old farm house. A great ghost trap begins with a Irish coffee. It helps !!
