Setting my eggs tonight (April 10) Any tips?

I have a bator full that I set on Friday night, the 9th, for a April 30/May1 hatch....so count me in

! In that incubator I have Delawares, Favorelles , Wheaten/Blue Wheaton Ameraucanas and a few of my own EE crosses.

I set some eggs ( mostly silkie eggs) on April 9th @ 10:30 am. So, I'm with you guys. I'll subscribe to this thread to keep up with you all.

Good morning, Turned eggs at 5:30 and now at 9:30am. Will try for the more is better approach. the hovabator comes right back to proper temp quickly (100 ). Humidity is holdind at 41-42% with half of the first well covered. I want to start candling now, but it would be unrewarding at this point I think.

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the grocery store and my dad moved the incubator "Out of his way" into the SUNSHINE and when I got back the temp spiked to 110!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE tell me they are going to be okay!!!! Im so sad that this happened!!!!!

Im so mad at myself thatI didn't call and tell my dad to check on the eggs.

Hope your eggs are ok. How long were they at 110 deg. It would take them a little while for the eggs themselves to come up to that. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Clare

They might be ok. I've hatched eggs that were about two weeks old and from the fridge. Anything is possible.
