I believe egg bound could be a complication of other reproductive problems...i wouldn't normally think that about such a young hen, but depending where she came from, she could be severely inbred or something like that...All these different factors together point in the direction of something bigger going on...If it were just one of these things, I wouldn't automatically jump to that conclusion.
