Hi Laura,
My bator only has 3 eggs in it now.

Today I culled a dozen eggs. One had a blood ring the other 11 looked like the day I set them.
The gentleman I bought them for said he would send me out a new batch Monday for just the price of shipping but I only have the one bator and do not want to attempt a staggered hatch.
He's going to send me out a new batch the week of 2/15 so I can try again. Nice to deal with

I hope all our eggs hatch, I'm afraid of having a lone chick.

I think the next time on shipped eggs I'm going to add a couple of my own chickens' eggs so I don't have a lonely chicky.

I have eggs going into lockdown 2-13-10 also!! I set 54 eggs. they are a mix of rir,buff, ee's, and silkies. I have already hatched 54 chicks out of my first batch and they are still hatching and pipping!!! 62% hatch rate so far and it keeps climbing.

I have eggs locking down 1/31, 2/06, and 2/13. with a grand total of 16.5 dozen(200 eggs) between the two incubators.

Ok I candled again tonight...Day 14....I had to remove one more brahma egg ...Still have two...I have one Silkie egg that looks iffy and the other two just may make it ....How is everyone else doing?

Got 4 baby silkies growing!!!!(out of 8 eggs...but it's a MIRACLE that I have any so I'm thankful!) We got off to a horrible start bator jumped to 114degrees and then lingered around 104 for the first three hours before settling back down again!!!

As is that wasn't bad enough...we had a power outage one week in and my friend who is hatching the eggs for me in her bator was at work so they came down to 70 degrees for at least 3 hours!!! Soooo...ummm...yeah...I'm THRILLED to have 4 babies on the way!!! Due to hatch Feb 12 give or take!(LOL) Thinking of all Valentine's Day themed names!!!(LOL) Candy, Rosie, Cupid, well you get the idea!

I gave my three eggs another look last night and my 3 silkie "survivors" are still developing just fine. Actually saw a tiny foot.
