Morning of Day 21 here and still nothing...

I am so upset, if these don't hatched i had 36 shipped to me lost four before day 14. so 32 still in the bator and nothing!!!! I hope I have something soon... Just one and I will be happy and this point!!!

Today is day 21 for me too and this morning, nothing

I am hoping

that something is going on in that incubator when I get home at 4:15! I have 16 eggs in there and I also would be happy with just 1 or 2 hatching at this point

4:15 seems so far away at this point .......................................

I may only try eggs one more time after this...The money I spent on shipped eggs last time and this time I could have bought day olds pullets of what I want...But it wouldn't be as exciting as hatching your own, I know. Its so upseting when you but time and love into this project and get nothing!! We can start a support group for chickless momma chickens (for us)!! I ope you have at least one when you get home too!!!

yes oldn07franch, we do need a support group!!!!

I have had my hens sit a lot and hatch eggs, but this is the first time I have used an incubator and the stress is unreal!

Keep my posted on your hatch and I will do the same!!!! Good luck!

Hi everyone.

I'm so sorry for everyone that hasn't hatched any chicks or is having a bad hatch rate. I have been there and it is very disappointing. Keep the faith and hopefully it will get better. It sure is heartbreaking when you have all those eggs and hardly any hatch.

I have been pretty lucky so far I have hatched 15 chicks. 7 ameracuna, 7 cochins and 1 lght brahama. I should have hatched more but I think part of it was my fault because I had to double stack them on the turner because my other bator didn't arrive in time.

Either way.. I learned more I'm happy I got the chicks I got.


Congrats to everyone else that has had successful hatching.

A little ray of hope: There are now 4 chicks under the broody that we can see. I was going to take her eggs and bring them in to candle and break them open this morning. When I picked up three eggs, I noticed that one of them had pipped and started to zip, so I put them back! Eek!!

The broody is still sitting strong! She apparently thinks that there are eggs still hatching, so I will just leave her alone. If they are dead, opening them won't bring them back, so I will just leave them, I guess.

I just keep thinking that the egg I picked up was cold. Maybe it still has a chance, but I don't know how. There was another one that was pipped, too. We will see...

We have 4 chicks. That is good, I guess. So far, none of my shipped eggs have hatched. Those are the ones I spent $60 on!! That just chaps my hide!!

Lord, I would be happy with only 1 or 2 at this point!!!

I came in to school today to 2 new chicks. Before first period was over we had 4 chicks. Now it is period 4 and we have 9 chicks and 2 more are starting.

I quickly misted them with warm water to see if it may help but nothing yet!!!

Support Group here I come!!!! Maybe If we all did the chicken dance we can convince the babies too hatch...

I am out of Ideas I will give them through the weekend but I am really discouraged!!!
