Setting up the bator and setting shipped eggs this week....anyone else wanna join?

Hijacking once again... My silkie(garry farms) and RIR(horstman Poultry) hatching eggs will be shipped out the first week of March!!

I've been following this thread along daily and hope others will be joining in with me around the same time to await hatching! This thread has been total excitement for me! So excited for all of you!

Stubborn, eggs, tomorrow is D day and not nary a wiggle or pip, here I set almost biting my knuckles and they lazily set quietly in their little cocoon's of warmth.

. Why, can't they just give me one wiggle? ???????? Their in there, I know it. The eggs are full of something dark. This waiting is killing me. I WANT BABIES!!!!!!!! BABIES TO HOLD!!! BABIES TO OH AND AHH OVER BABIES!!!!!!!

Noahsmom - Congrats on buying eggs! My Garry farm silkies are supposed to hatch this Friday! So far out of 17, it looks like 11 will make it to lock down. I think that pretty good for shipped eggs!

Crazyhen - oh how frustrating! You know they are like little jumping beans as soon as you look away! Hoping they start "talking" to you VERY Soon!!

It's day 15 and lockdown is Tuesday...can't believe it's just about here! Gloria Jean, any pips yet? I hope you wake up to some hatching BABIES tomorrow.....LOTS of BABIES! Can't wait to hear....soooo exciting

Kelly, that is so exciting to know your eggs will be coming and it's your first hatch. I will be watching to see how it goes for you.

Vicki, what's the temps today? I had family member in Kenosha and they recently moved down to FL. We heard lots of stories of the cold winters in WI. Lockdown is Tuesday......YAYYY!

Holy Hannah, lost power for almost 3 hours on thursday while I was at work. Haven't had Internet or phone since. Finally back online. Need to catch up and see what's going on. I candled a couple morning after losing power. Look ok (I think) I will def. candle tomorrow to see if all's well.

Day 13 and added some water to the bator. Humidity is at 52% tonight. It's sounds like everyone is getting sooo excited for their hatch day to get here. I know I am. 5 days til lockdown!

Vicki, can wait to see pics of the broody babies...how many have hatched so far?

Melinda, did you guys get through the storm ok? We had a strong storm come through here last night and power was out for a few mins only...thankfully.

Gloria Jean,  how exciting....lockdown is so fun and I'm sure Mattie is watching for the first pip   Let us know when the hatching begins....

Things are getting exciting hatchers!
Gloria Jean and Mattie hang in thee! Patience is a virtue . Easy for me to say, I'm still a week out! Boy,I hope candling goes well tomorrow. Bator got to 76. Power out for almost 3 hours. By the time I got home, it was running back at 99. Keeping fingers crossed.

Delisha - you're even older than Maine right now. We had a gorgeous day here that topped out at 22.... Felt warm except for the wind. Hope mamma hen's keeping her chicks nice and toasty!

Justine, sounds like you're holding steady! Can't wait to hear more and see some pix!

I hear peeping, those little brats waited till I was fast asleep to do anything. awwh!!!!!!!! I can barely wait for their appearance. Mattie will be beside herself when one actually hatches. I will not call her until they do.
We are having a beautiful morning on the coast of NC. sunshine and 43 degrees. Remember this roo is young and the eggs are iffy so my hatch may not be up to par. Here we go.
