Setting up the bator and setting shipped eggs this week....anyone else wanna join?

To All co- hatchers! I have three pipped eggs now. One I think pipped way too low as the membrane is dark and may even look like blood.. The other two have pipped within the air cell (from my rings around the eggs) and I heard very faint cheeping. That leaves four with no activity yet. having said that, when i went to bed there was only one pipped egg. Pins and needles anyone?
Off to work soon, which is probably for the best since I will be of little use to the chicks until they're out...

thank you! My cousin sent it To me - they're celebrating Carnevale right now and she thought I'd enjoy it.
My eggs are being very quiet. No movement. But I read Sally Sunshines thread on hatching and she indicates that the magical 21 days to hatch is a baseline; so I'm thinking that with two power outages it could be that mine will be delayed and I shouldn't worry just yet. I know I had live chicks going into lock down. I will wait and not touch. My temps are spot on and I've got great humidity. I didn't realize that the CO2 increase in the egg is what causes the chicks muscles to twitch and begins the rocking and rolling towards hatch! Very interesting. Patience will be my mantra. Fingers are crossed and will not lose hope until day 25.... Then I will candle to see if anything is still alive. I'll be like Dory... Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!

I will post as soon as I have any news!

Hoping you have some pips today. That would be your miracle hatch after everything those poor eggs have gone through and you too. Can't wait to hear.

Day 18 here. I candled eggs yesterday. 11 of the 12 are alive and kicking.
Pretty sure I have one quitter.
I love all the pics of the new little chicks. Makes me more anxious for mine
to hatch.

Final count is 17 fluffy babies! Had two that never pipped and when candled showed no movement and had one pip on the wrong end. Think we did pretty good for our first time. We will be setting eggs for a friend on Friday, so I guess this is my new addiction!
