Several mouse litters.. (planned & Current) *update, pg 5!*

Some of this might not happen, but Ive been thinking about who I want to breed and so on.
Most of these breeding wont be for several more months,but I like to plan things out.

Heres what I've came up with:

Tiger X Spot -Had Litter
Brindle X Broken Black

Offspring:
-Recessive yellow
-Brindle


Breed Brother(brindle/black) to Sister (Black/brindle)

Offspring:
-Broken black
-Broken brindle


CoCo X Maple- Had litter
Chocolate X Broken Chocolate

Offspring:
-Chocolate
-lilic



CoCO X Fluffy
Chocolate X Blue

Offspring:
-black


Breed brotherblack) to Sister (black)

Offspring:
-black
-blue
-Chocolate


Martin X Lily
RY X Brindle(Lightly marked)

Offspring:
-Brindle
-RY

I do plan on breeding blue brindles, but that wont be for awhile.

Ok what I want to know is why breed mice? Pets? Snake food? I'm just kind of baffled.

Mice and Rats make excellent small pets! Much better than gerbils and hamsters. Mice/Rats are social by nature, gerbils/hamsters are not and besides mating prefer to be alone.

For years I was a breeder and exhibitor of fancy mice. I bred foxes, siamese, etc. Love the little critters! I had 167 at one point!

Im looking to get some merles, but no such luck yet.
I plan my breeding several months ahead of time.
I only pair mice together that will produce quality offspring.
I dont breed just to add numbers to the mice world.

I am so excited for blue brindles, but I know it will be awhile before that litter happens.

I did have a friend that bred mice for snake food. They were really smelly. I have never thought of mice as pets although my bio teacher in high school had a pretty cool rat. I had no idea there was exhibitions of fancy mice.
