I got a batch of 10 polish chicks from a breeder when they were about a week old on the 8th I haven't had any problems out of them until about Saturday when these two started getting what I assumed was wry neck. They had been getting extra vitamins in the water, up to a few days prior when a skipped a few days. So Ive been giving them a higher dose of the vitamins and added some antibiotics just in case it was bacterial. They're in a batch of about 30 chicks and the only two to be showing any signs of trouble. They do not seem to be making improvements, Is it just severe wry neck or is it some thing else? Could it be a neurological thing? I've had crested ducks before and know that is sometimes a problem, does it happen with polish?

The black one usually has its head tilted like the blue one does.

It appears to be classic wry neck. Do your vitamins include vitamin E 400iu?If not, that could be why they aren't responding to vitamin treatment. Give each one whole E 400iu oil capsule daily directly into the beak. Just pop it in.
