Sevins dust

I live in an area which is super strict and was wondering how often should they get a treatment of something like sevin or equivelent?

Is once a month okay and then dirt the other times unless I see a bug infestation?

Where would I buy De or diatomaceous earth?

I wouldn't dust the birds unless I saw the bugs actually upon them. But you can sprinkle around their nest boxes & the floor of their coop whenever you clean & change the straw.

I've gotten food grade DE from our feed store.

I usually pay about $6 for 5lb. It usually lasts awhile.
