Hi! I’m really hoping “Maggie”, my almost 8 week old Columbian Wyandotte, is a girl but starting to get really worried as waddle and comb way more prominent and redder than other hens...she has also been super late to feather out compared to others (buffs, Cochins, barred rock and EE) and still has lots of bare areas on neck. She’s not keen on being held like the other hens and is definitely asserting dominant / slightly aggressive behavior towards the other hens. First time chicken keeper here...getting really anxious about this! Was so hoping she’d be a she!

Is there no chance at all it's a she whose just early getting waddle etc.? I'm asking because I've got a tough choice if I'm certain it's a he, I need to get a few more chicks asap if I'm going to keep him since I'd only have 6 hens left. (had originally planned on just a small flock of hens). I don't want to run out and get more chicks and then have it turn out to be a she after all. I've got limited space and it's a tough choice to decide whether I want a rooster or not! Does anyone else want to weigh in, or is this a no-brainer... definitely a cockerel?

Can't remember what combs looked like on my columbians a few years ago, but I had one that barely had any feathers at 10 weeks, she was all fuzz, but she was a she! Slow feathering is not necessarily a cockeral.
