Sexing 5-6 week Barred Rocks and Australorps

Hey guys! I purchased 5 barred rocks and 5 australorps from TSC on April 12th. This is my first chick experience, so it is my first time trying to determine genders.

I think they were between 1-1/2 and 2 weeks old when I brought them home, but I'm not 100% sure.

I have a pretty good guess on the barred rocks, but I am shooting in the dark on the australorps. I figured I'd post them here and see what y'all think.

I took the photos this evening, I apologise for poor quality, it was really hard to get the little buggers to hold still.

Barred Rocks:

Chick #1 - pullet?

Chick #2 - pullet?

Chick #3 - pullet?

Chick #4 - pullet

Chick #5 - Roo?

Black Australorps:

Chick #1 - ?

Chick #2 - ?

Chick #3 - ?

Chick #4 - ?

Chick #5 - ?

The pictures are kinda blurry, right now it looks like they are all hens but that could change. I can't tell if the first one has a red comb, an early sign of being a rooster is a red comb and development of wattles.

I think you're correct on the BRs---4 pullets and 1 cockerel. I don't see anything on the Australorps that say cockerel so I'm going with pullet on all of those.

So far, I'm only seeing one cockerel, and that's your last BR.

Agree, so far I only see the one cockerel, that you identified as a BR. The Austros are really too young to sex, so we'll have to wait a bit.

I think they may be a little young still. Please wait 2 weeks, and post pics of their combs.
