sexing barred rock chicks?

I sold 6 barred rock chicks I got from a hatchery as pullets. The person asked today when she could return them, it's been a week and a half later because 3 are male. They are only just turning 3 weeks, all had head spots and color on the legs the same. How possible is it that they are 3 male? I wonder if she decided not to keep all 6 and figured I would return them. I refuse to except them back because they were sold as hatchery sexed as they were hatchery sexed as pullets, and who knows how they were treated ( illnesses spred to my flock?) also they were sold as duo purpose not just for eggs.

When the wing feathers come in pullets will be mostly black with white barring. Males will be mostly white with black barring.

If you do take them back, definitely quarantine them!

The birds had the same wings, mostly black not much white. I have 3 that I kept that feather out wing wise the same.

If they all looked like that, then they would be females. (there are a few exceptions to that rule, but generally that is the case)

edit: under a year old girls are pullets - not hens. oops!
