Sexing Barred Rocks

On suggestion from our local metropark farm i flipped over the bird in question to look for a nub in the vent. I see nothing im hoping this means sje is a really awesome looking chica!/5

Well I went and picked out my new 6 Barred Rocks, I read this post thoroughly before I left to make sure I picked only Hens. :) I hope I did it right! They are about 3 weeks old, I'll have to post pictures of them to see what you guys think.

Indeed, this posting has confused the poo out of me. I did all the studying and still ended up having absolutely no clue. I have three BR laying hens now who have the most beautiful big bright red combs and wattles. I know for sure they are hens as I have seen them all lay. Their coloring even goes more to the roo so that I don't think is accurate either. My chicks though, I am certain I have one roo, maybe two. People are saying I have 4 maybe 5. But I am not seeing it now looking at them as they grow. I know with my other hens as they grew some would have their combs and wattles come in quicker, so I will know when I am sure I guess. Does that make sense?!

Video of my new (hopefully) pullets, what do you think?

What age are they? Were the red sex link reddish in color when you got them, if you got them in fuzzy stage? If you go by the coloring alone of the BR according to everyone else they would be pullets, the darker color. But like I say I have two laying hens now that are lighter in color.

They are about 3 weeks old

I got the Red Sex Links at a couple of days old and no they were not reddish.
