Sexing chicks at 5-7days old?

I'm going by head spots on the black ones

You can't accurately sex them by their head spots. Not unless you have a flock and specifically breed for the males to have different head spots than the females.

Well... we've decided to get all 5 chicks. Got my fingers crossed for girls and for finding good new homes for them if boys.

I know. I didn't say they wouldn't have head spots. Both males and females have head spots, it's just not very reliable at all to try and tell their genders by the size of the head spot.
