I have a hen sitting on some eggs. 11 out of 12 are viable (based on candling). I want to find out as soon as possible if some of them are roosters. The chicks will all be Easter Eggers—both daddies and all the hens are Easter Eggers. I have no clue what all is involved in their breeding; a friend gave them to us for free. I heard that wing sexing does not work with certain breeds, so I am going to assume that with Easter Eggers it will not work because of the amount of variety in them. What are some other good ways of telling with very young chicks (if any)? If not, I do know how to tell from feathers when they are older, I would just like to know sooner.
