Okay, so I’m thinking I have a cockerel with the Plymouth but I wanted to confirm because I’m awful at picking the boys.
The other one is younger but I wanted to see if anyone with more experience than me could pick it yet. It’s an Araucana x Wyandotte, I was told bare shoulders usually means cockerel but I’m not sure.

Thanks in advance everyone!

The PR is what, six weeks old? Don't take my word for it, but I'm going to say yes, he's a little cockerel. No clue on the second but tentatively, maaaaybe a pullet (going by the comb), but I would wait and see what the sexing pros have to say.

Yeah, he’s about 7 weeks. The other one is about 5 from memory. Thanks for your thoughts! We’ll see what everyone thinks, some people are so good at sexing… I swear it’s a gift! 😂

The barred bird is a cockerel and appears to be a cuckoo maran, not a Plymouth barred rock. Where did you get him?

A local breeder, I don't believe she even has marans but I'll shoot her a message though and ask. Very interesting, I'm in Australia so marans aren't very common here. Thanks for the information.

Also, the second bird is suspicious as well...but I would update that bird in a few weeks.

Plymouth barred rocks have yellow shanks and skin.
