I’m gonna disagree with the mottled OEGB being a cockerel, it’s comb is only slightly larger and I have a younger porcelain OEGB with a comb that’s twice as big and twice as red as the mottled OEGB. Other than that, I pretty much agree.i think frizzles are cockerels mottled OEGB and porcelain d, uccle are cockerels and the last two OEGBs are pullets
After looking at a bunch of threads on 6 week old frizzle Cochins, they look more like pullets rather than cockerels.i think frizzles are cockerels mottled OEGB and porcelain d, uccle are cockerels and the last two OEGBs are pullets
posted update pictures of all the chicks.5 weeks in a little too early, I don't see obvious cockerels at this point
They’re 6 weeks old now, I posted update pictures.Typically 5 weeks is fine for single combed bantams.
First two are cockerels? Rest look like pullets. Here’s them at 6 weeks old now. I’m starting to really worry about the d’uccle, I think it might be a cockerel.View attachment 3117523View attachment 3117525View attachment 3117528View attachment 3117530View attachment 3117531View attachment 3117532View attachment 3117533View attachment 3117534View attachment 3117537View attachment 3117539View attachment 3117541View attachment 3117542
Are you sure? The d’uccle really looks like a cockerel too. As for the frizzles, I think it’s kind of up in the air. They’re either slow cockerels, or fast pullets.of All the posts I’ve looked at of 6 week old Cochin bantams, they’re kind of in between.First two are cockerels? Rest look like pullets.
I could easily be wrong, not great with sexing birds yet. I'd trust others opinions over mine. Which one is the Du'ccle? Are you sure? The d’uccle really looks like a cockerel too.
