One of my Cayuga ducklings is jet black and much skinner than the other (April), while the other (Andy) has some white/light tan around his chest and beak and is a bit bulkier with thicker legs, which makes me think they are two different sexes. I read somewhere a long time ago that the lighter colored ones are more commonly male, just curious what everyone thinks about the legitimacy of this? I was hoping to have one drake and one hen so that would be so awesome!

They are three weeks. So far they both sound pretty squeaky and not much quacking
You'll def hear the distinct semi quack - like a fart and a belch - it's kinda funny-- from the girl- at approx 6 to 8 wks -- and also a tad later the drake will be whistling etc if they are separated or w/ any stress but no quack.
