Sexing Peachicks - India Blues

Ok I am going out on a little bit of a limb here as it is still a little early at 8 weeks, but I really think you probably have three girls. The one in the middle is the only questionable one in my mind. It may not be quite obvious yet, but if we threw a boy with the well defined barring in their you would probably already see the difference.

Not what you were originally thinking, huh?
do you have pictures for me to compare to? Most pictures I've seen aren't really helpful, or people just explain it. As I'm finding the differences arent as obvious as people make them seem.

if you go to my thread called sexing peachicks

ive documented alot of pictures of my kids and the differences between them. maybe it will help you decide.
sometimes its hard to see the small differences in pictures until you see what you are looking for

Thank you for the link! I'll have to pull it up and compare our children! I feel like they've been changing so much, and everyone has different things to look for, and all I know is I'm staring at 3 birds that I've managed to keep alive! I'm so excited now I can compare!

These I just took, lined all 3 up took individuals and a group.

Leonard, Penny, Sheldon

These peas are about 10 to 12 weeks old, notice how the females are loosing the barring on their feathers where as the males are even more pronounced.
Give your babies a bit more time and it will be easer to tell.

I really want one boy!! Just one is all I'm asking!! Please pea gods let Leonard just be a confused feathered boy!!! haha

I realized today that I must have been excited when I posted the last pics... They were 7 wks old. I'm really hoping for a boy as a guy I know recently lost his pair, and one of their final batches of eggs produced 2 girls. He was hoping I'd have a boy and it would be a great home. Darn peas! Why can't they come out with signs or different colors?!?!?

zazouse - Do you notice that one will get the iredescent feathers earlier or different coloration? The 2 bigger ones have a good amount of green feathers around their necks and on their heads. Little Leonard has just started getting neck ones. Thank you for the pictures! However only Penny would sit next to the laptop for comparison, she obviously thinks shes just as pretty as the pictures! The other 2 are a little more modest!
