Sexing Peachicks - India Blues

so what if they never had barring? would that make them part bs? i'm starting to think mine are part bs. i've never been able to compare my pied and silver pied because they never had any barring on the back of their necks. some on their tales and front of thier necks. but so far i have no idea.

beauful babies tho. i have no idea if they're male or female sorry. even with mine i think i'm going to have to wait till they get tails or not :)

ok i have no memory, they had some barring. is this enough to tell?

Houdini 6.5 weeks - see barring around neck that only disappeared with color that come in but not on the back. never any on back. idk why this is underlined sry.

George 6.5 weeks - same as houdini well a little on his back.

all 3 at 8 weeks

9 wks good pict of necks. this is where those white spots showed up. any ideas on those?

they're 13 wks now but i don't have any good back of the neck picts :(

well here's houdini last night 13 weeks, but not really clear, the dog spooked them. can't even see the color good. but only barring at base of neck by Audrey's fingers, its copper colored :)

and just to be clear, the barring that was there only went away when the colored feathers replaced them. they never faded... does that make sense? i hope so :)

Thats a good question... this is why I ask so many... Beautiful babies what are they? (I don't know the proper terms to ask their "color type")

I have 2 IB peachicks about 5-6 weeks old and there is a very noticable diffrence in color across their backs,The hen is quite noticably darker in color than the male. She also has considerable less barring noticable on her compared to the other chick.I can get pics if it would help?

That would be great! The more helpful pictures the better! Can you tell from my pics what mine probably are?

To me they are making such drastic changes that I'm just so unsure. Plus I really have not a clue. I wish someone could bring me an actual bird to compare to. Then I'd prolly feel silly for not recognizing it!

Ok this time they are really 8 wks. Not so great pictures as I took them this AM before they got to go out and play in the big pen for the day, so they were very frisky.

Here's Leonard!

and Penny...

And Sheldon who was mad at me for not letting him fly!

ok im no expert - i think tho -
leanard - boy - tons of barring. doesn't look like its fading
Penny - ?? - tons of barring but less than leonard so a boy with less barring or a girl with barring just starting to fade.
Sheldon - girl? - looks like barring is fading.
those are my most uneducated guesses :) these are my first peas too.

I noticed, even though Leonard is a little behind, his barring hasnt faded as much as the other 2.
I need to take well lit photos of these guys as the last photos arent great. Hopefully the sun comes out! I will probably feel dumb when I see the differences in your two...
