Not usually, but every once in a while you get an early quacker. One of mine started making quack-like noises at about three weeks, but the rest didn't start til a week or two later.
 
It was loud and i don't think it was raspy. Ive heard that Drakes are quiet but this was a very loud almost like a voice crack. like from its baby voice to its adult voice.
 
The way I like to think about it might seem kinda funny but it works haha. Drakes kind of sound like they are trying to impress the hens by making their voice deep and raspy. They will sometimes quack loud and sound different but you will know it's a boy if he ever gets quiet and trys to flirt. I just find it hilarious when they do it because it's like a cute little fluffy duck trying to sound all tough.
