sexing royal palm turkey??

we recently bought a royal palm turkey and we were told it was a tom. now we believe it may be a hen. he is now around 11 weeks, can anyone help?

I might be able to tell with a head close-up; front and side. Both toms and hens strut but it looks different. A tom will spreadout/fan his tail while a hen will lift her tail but it won't be fanned out nearly as much. Toms strut to show off and hens strut when they are upset/mad.

It is too young to be sure from a photo. If it is a tom, its breast feathers will develop a black lower edge.

Looks like a hen, but... Does he/she strut? Young toms often start strutting as poults; rather funny to see a baby turkey strutting.

Royal Palms are gorgeous birds. This guy lost a lot of feathers from his tail in a dog attack.

i personally have never seen any strutting. however he/she will occasionally stand up very tall and start flapping at our chickens.

You definitely have a tom, Look at his snood and his waddle. I have 2 toms and a hen.
