is there a way to sex day old chicks by color from a buff orpington rooster and a rhode island red hen?
what about a buff orpington rooster and a easter egger
or a buff orpington and a black astraolorp?

I have looked for this on the net but cant find anything.

What if I bred my RED turken roo with my Barred Rock hen? Would that be a naked neck blk sexlink?

I don't mean "mutt" in a bad way, just as a term to use for not a pure breed or known hybrid. Look at the sticky at the top of the page for sexlink info and breeds to use to get them.

If you want sexlinks out of your BO roo then you are going to need a dominant silver gene hen like a delaware or RIW (red/gold sexlinks).

If you're wanting to make sex-links, then I'm sorry, but none of those breeds will work as the hen. To make sex-links, you need a red or gold roo (such as RIR, NHR, or BO), and silver gene or barred hens. Silver gene hens (such as RIW, SLW, or Delaware) will make red/gold sex-links. Barred hens (such as BR or cuckoo marans) will make black sex-links. Hope this helps...
