WOAH... Lily laid her first JUMBO egg today, easily an inch thick and as long as my index finger.

You gotta love sassy chickens. I was taking fall pictures and I put Flutter on top of a pumpkin. It was the only place I could make her stay still.

Flutter ran away right after I took this picture. She didn't want to stay still- she wanted to scratch with her flock, where she was before I plucked her for the photo shoot. Hence her muddy beak.

New here and curious about a cross i would like to try, RIR rooster on cukoo marans hens, would you get a sex linked chick that lays the darker brown eggs???
