WELCOME TO THE DREAM

As you awaken to a brand new world and a brand new you, you pray that you are dreaming. You climb to your feet and examine yourself - you are wearing everything you were when you went to bed, and have whatever possessions that were on you when you fell asleep - and can sense something is different, something is wrong. You realize you have been transformed into something other than human and brought here: The Academy. Before you can leave, however, you must learn to harness whatever new abilities you have been gifted and use them to right your past wrongs.

PART ONE: RULES OF THE LAND

Site Rules
Please Read First

A) By participating in this game, I promise that all BYC Rules will be followed and that I have read and understood the Role Play Rules that are in a sticky at the top of the Games forum.

B) I promise that all content is to be rated G and suitable for all ages.

C) I promise that there will be no swearing, cursing (including censoring by using symbols) or inappropriate adult sexual activity or innuendo. This extends to mating, breeding or innuendo in non-human characters as well.

D) I promise to treat others with respect and kindness as is the BYC way.

E) I promise not to post any material that is a violation of copyright. Basically, this means: if you didn't create the content (like an image/picture) and don't have direct permission from the content creator to post it, then don't.

Rules of Play

Be respectful. Respect the admins and our decisions, as well as other players and their decisions. Nobody wants a roleplay full of disrespect and disputes. If you’re nice to each other, then we will all have fun!​

Be fair. Don’t make a Mary/Gary Sue character. Don’t go God Mode. Everyone must have their three minor and one fatal flaw, and everyone has a wrong to right.

Don’t make your wrong an easy fix. Don’t make the "wrong to right" something dull and easy and has it accomplished really early, because if you do, then that character is sent home and is therefore out of commission for the rest of the roleplay, which is no fun for anybody. Keep your wrong until the end, that way your character has time to develop and make bonds with people.

Don’t be a jerk. It’s that simple. Don’t kill someone else’s character without their consent, and don’t constantly have your character be in mortal peril and on the verge of death. Don’t be overly edgy either, it’s not all about your character. It'll be no fun if everyone is dying all the time.​

Be descriptive. Do not say things like *nods* or *says yes*. Do not use asterisks (for those of you who call them star thingies, because I sure do, asterisks are *these*). Instead, say: “She nodded thoughtfully, considering the pros and cons of this action and deciding that it would be best to go along with it.” or “After a moment's hesitation, he quietly said ‘Yes.’ with a small nod.” Use correct grammar as well. While this is not grounds for banning, it is grounds for a long grammar lesson that will make your head explode. You can thank my college English Lang. and Comp. teacher for that :)

Rules of Characters

Stick with the Species choices I have supplied. You may request other species, but know that you will most likely be declined and/or given one of the supplied species that is similar to or the same as a compromise.

Do not use a premade form without Admin permission. I must be sure it has all the requirements for the roleplay before I let you use it. Most generic forms should be okay, I just have a few specific things I’m looking for.

Please, no anime faceclaims. A drawing is fine, but anime characters are not allowed for a number of reasons. This needs to stay PG and oftentimes anime characters are anything but. Try to find a real person or character that looks similar.

If you use a faceclaim for a movie character, give the actor/actress name too. If you use a character and don’t know the actor/actress’s name, look up the character and it’ll tell you. If you still can’t find it, ask me. I might know, I have seen a ton of movies.

Quirks: He rather talk to animals, strangely enough, then speak to a human being.
Fears: Being betrayed, death of a loved one.
Likes: Darkness, animals, thunderstorms.
Dislikes: Hatred, most people.
Minor Flaws: Anxiety, overemotional/sensitive, overprotective.
Fatal Flaw: Scorpio is incredibly useless at any sort of leading or ordering people around, leading to a pretty much fatal disaster in a dangerous situation.
Wrong: To try and fix the shattered relationship between himself and his father.

Her mother divorced her father, after being injured by him. Lillian spoiled Brooke, giving her almost whatever she wanted. From this, Brooke got many pets, toys, electronics and other things. She would get ice cream every night, and was homeschooled, with a tutor coming over, as her mom was a brain surgeon. This eventually made her overweight. This was when she was thirteen. In the two years, she lost 70 pounds, and only grew 2 inches. She is Vegan, but she eats honey.

Power/Ability: She can speak to forest animals(deer, moose, birds, rabbits, wolf/coyote, fox, raccoon, mice, weasels) and she can very simply grow flowers or moss or vines with a wave of a hand.
Quirks: She speaks incredibly fast. And she often fiddles with her necklace when she is nervous.
Fears: She is deathly terrified of the ocean(hydrophobia) and has a strong fear of thunder storms, lightning and strong winds(astraphobia)
Likes: Snakes, foxes, some people, dancing.
Dislikes: Most people, thunder, large crowds.
Minor Flaws: She is a incredibly good liar, she does not know how to express gratitude, and she is way to self-confidant and proud.
Fatal Flaw: She takes way to many risks that a sane person would never.
Wrong: To find a friend she had as a child and redeem their friendship. (Scorpio)
