I think Marie is talking about this post, which Shad later replied to and then Marie replied again.

From those three posts, I don't think anyone should be worried about fermenting feed.

Shad, I’m still 15 pages behind, but had a thought for these birds in your current set up. I know it would not be ideal to limit their space. However, might it be worth it if the space were more rich, nutritious and stimulating? Something you said made me think they might forage it down to just dirt. Might you consider dividing it in two and rotating their pastures so things have a chance to grow and maybe even reseed?

Sure it's a good idea but there is thinking about stuff and getting stuff done.
I have a very very long list of stuff that are good ideas and a very short amount of time and energy to do any of them.

I made the decision too stop , this is nothing to do with shad. I found this food was attracting flies for one plus noticed my girls were not so interested in it anymore.

I will use it as an occasional food in the future but it's strange because since I've stopped using it my battery girls seemed to have improved.

I'm still a learner and look too sharach and more experienced people here for my guidance.

Morning Battery Batters .... It is cold this morning .. But dry my arthritis is happy .. I can do cold. I did get my first two eggs from banty land one bird over two days.
The frizzle is the oldest of the birds up there..
