Four hours of tranquility today. Warm sunshine very light wind for the location and contented chickens wandering in and out of the allotment run. The urgency they first seemed to feel at being let out onto the allotments has faded away. I leave the gate open and they wander in and out. It seems the allotment run, the first few metres at the top of the allotments and the compost heap area is enough space in their view. They rarely venture further down the allotment plots than the first couple of plot rows.
I planted while they dug around the fruit bushes. Mackerel for supper. A whole tin today!
Henry had a bath. I could hear him clucking away to himself as I did a bit more weeding.
Lima was much more herself today. It does take her a couple of days to recover from laying a lash egg. I wonder what it is that she find exhausting about it. At least she's getting them out.
