OK it's definitely not Greek. I'm going to guess Turkish, they've got a large number of brahma people there, as well as quite a few people working with this color as I've seen. Both my girl are Turkish line as well
Who ever is speaking in that video not speaking Turkish. :D

Huh. Well I have no clue. So it's not English, French, Greek or Turkish. I'll settle with that

Omg you speak Turkish?
It sounds a bit Yemen or one of those countries over there.

Yes, I speak Turkish, grew up bopping between Izmir and Kadikoy Turkey for first 5 yrs of life. :D I am not Turkish but half Greek and half Native American.

That must've been an interesting childhood! You should learn Greek!

My parents brought us to the US when I was 6 but we made trips back almost every year until I was 18. I have very fond memories of all my time spent inland and fishing/sailing along the Bosphorus, Marmara, Black Sea, and the Mediterranean south of Izmir. My family is Greek but got stuck in Turkey during the Greko-Turkish war of 1897 and went into hiding, running from Izmir north to Kadikoy. They assimilated into the Turkish culture to save their lives, never speaking a word of Greek again! My dad taught us everything he new about being Greek except the language, to this day this story is a family secret.

So...when do my Greek language lessons start? :pop

That is definitely some family history! Thank you for sharing! As for the Greek lessons, all I'm going to teach you is "Καλωσήρθατε" which means welcome (but in the plural, since this is the only way you'd talk to someone who you didn't have a close relationship with) since I know you're a greeter. I guess you also know some Greek from the stupid Greek names I give my birds :p

Five hours today split shift.
It rained this morning, quite a lot from what I could see. Unfortunately instead of giving a lovely clear air feeling and a major drop in temperature it turned the place into a sauna. It got better later in the day. However, it was a bit cooler this evening and tomorrow is going to be cooler still the Met Office writes.
Everyone came out onto the allotments both shifts.
This is Henry dropping a hint.

The chicks are getting the hang of avoiding Carbon when food is the subject matter. Fret is working much less, the chicks much more. Fret is doing a great job. Still not cracked the bar roosting yet despite Fret's best efforts. Carbon pecking them isn't helping.

I'm having to leave food in the coop. It's not something I like doing but until the current rat crisis is over and the chicks are bigger it''s the only way I can be sure they'll get some breakfast.
