I assume overexertion and lack of sleep to be the cause. My DH has suffered several severe strokes during the last three years which has kept me in care and surveillance mode 24/7 ever since.

And just now that he is recovering from it all, he was recently diagnosed with cancer which has me driving him back and forth to all kinds of appointments like MRIs, CTs, hospital etc.

I feel for you as I am dong the same.

I've read and listened to quite a few experiences of shingles now. I may have been fortunate in getting an anti viral medication early on, before the rash even appeared. One person I know had to for two months, another for almost three.
It doesn't stop me doing things but it's a constant irritation and apparently normal, is I can't cope with bright sunlight; instant headache.:confused: I'm turning into a vampire.:lol:; which is why I'm up at stupid o'clock reading BYC.
When my mom got shingles 20 years ago they said it had to run it's course and didn't have any treatment 😭
It was on her back and left side...which made sleeping and sitting difficult

:hugs I’m so sorry to read this!

Indeed I am! I got it last summer, but I want to look for one like yours. I was on a tight budget and mine is not ideal, but it worked.
@Shadrach
I got a torch already just in case. Finger crossed for never needing to use it for nasty bugs.

I do have a growing nest of wasps in the chicken run that I need to deal with:(. I know @RoyalChick understands the pain.

Our Foxy, always behaves like a rooster since a chick, has been tidbitting to hens that she wants to dominate. She also does the wing herding dance to any hen she thinks she has a chance to win fight.:rolleyes:

Here is a short video of her doing it to Honey. Honey is blind and she occasionally goes outside under our protection.

Very recently, Foxy won the fight with Poopy, the alpha hen. Poopy is afraid of Foxy now but Foxy is still below other senior hens.
