Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

Saw this post on IG earlier. Never thought I'd see such a similar looking bird.🤯
That bird does look very similar! Skeksis's personableness to you her human surely did make her one of a kind. I would like to think my birds are as attached to me as your Skeksis was to you, but I suspect hens view me as the harbinger of raisins and my rooster as the Illegal Wearer of the Pink Jacket (not his favorite color).

Rain on and off all day. Warmish thankfully and so far my recently purchased clothing for the field has so far stood up to the weather.
A few more pictures of Tull.

Looking well-fed!
I do have some concerns about the amount the pullets are getting to eat. The boys have started to drive them away from the food. Fortunately this is likely to stop this week as the boys are going. They are just starting to show an interest in mating with the hens and I want to sure to avoid the problems we had with Dig earlier this year.

She imprinted on me coming out of the incubator and followed me around everywhere when she was a baby. She still liked being around me as an adult, but especially when i had food. She'd follow me out into our back field just to see what i was up to though if i had the girls out.
