Is she actually sitting on anything (rocks??), or is she just pancaking down? She seemed ok in the pics being on the roost with the others.Unfortunately not and I would rather she didn't sit because of the leg problems she had after the last time.
this one?Good thinking. I've got some of those on another hard drive.
did you ever identify what the problem was there? I'm beginning to wonder if a viral arthritis is working through my flock.I would rather she didn't sit because of the leg problems she had after the last time
Thanks Perris, for the link to the aerial view photo with labels of the allotment.I was trying to find your post with the aerial view, but I wasn't using the right search terms.
that must be very worrying, and annoying given how careful you are about what you feed your chickens.Yesterday my daughter send me some disturbing news about the forever chemicals PFAS / PFOS in chicken eggs, in a village just 5 km from here, with a large paper (recycle) factory.
I posted the article on my own thread:

Hens can remain fertile up to 4 wks after the last mating...Any fertilized eggs from Henry around?
That is worrying! It is hard to protect them against man-made environmental threats. It is really sad is paper that they can recycle, usually composts down nicely, naturally, but they treat everything with extra chemicals now, so that may no longer be accurate either. :-(Yesterday my daughter send me some disturbing news about the forever chemicals PFAS / PFOS in chicken eggs, in a village just 5 km from here, with a large paper (recycle) factory.
