Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

I found an appropriate tax payment :p

I'm doing just fine here. Thank you.

People can have a false sense of "free" if their speech is favored by the authority.

I am sorry, but your post is incredibly simplistic to say the least.

I do apologize for not holding back.

I appreciate you, and your beautiful flock.

May I suggest that those who want to engage in a political discussion do so in a private group. Easy to set up here in BYC. I have some hope that as we have become friends of sorts via chickens that those who want to could have a civilized debate on things political that do not need to distract from this wonderful chicken site and Shad’s wonderful thread.
Who knows, maybe even some good could come of it in terms of mutual understanding.

I come here to talk chickens and with others who have chickens. I don't want to spoil our friendly discussions.

A lady I worked with years ago said there are two things to avoid discussing at work: religion and politics. Wise woman.

If I want to discuss politics I go to X. Plenty of heated debates there are just waiting for more participants.

Zaccheus and his flock, all Speckled Sussex bantams

A few days late, but the chicks are one week old (now older). Most are feathering as per usual, with two having slower feathering genes. Still nameless, which I’m trying to change.

This chick was very intent on this piece of grass, after mum introduced them to grass seeds

Circling back to the dryness of the land talk from a couple of days ago, it should come as no surprise that things are very dry here. The property would be quite depressing if it weren’t for the wonder of Peru, or as I’ve always known it, δειλινό, growing everywhere. It provides great cover for the chickens, and looks quite beautiful in the evenings. Mother Galadriel was teaching her brood the importance of natural cover today, so this felt relevant

With how dry it is, maybe I should start planting my succulents directly on the ground:D

You cant escape politics as long as you live in this world.
I've tried to make this thread an exception!
If people want to have an argument on any topic this thread is not the place for it. There are plenty of other places on the net where you can engage in such pointless discussions.
If you read a post you disagree with, tap the like button and move on, please. Most here have put a lot of work into making this thread a place to discuss chicken related topics.
No politics on this thread please unless it's chicken politics.:p
