It did take me a couple of looks I must admit but I had an idea of what I was looking for.

Got there before 6pm. They roost at about 8.15pm now.
Everybody came out.

Caught him!

Got the rest of the weeds pulled up to the bottom of the fence. It's a bit of a mess down there. stones, bits of wood and a lot of roots.
I've got a system going with the chickens. I pull in one spot and when they start to get in my way, I go at another spot.
You can see how big the fence rectangles are in one of the picture. Not really suprising rats get through and if it is a stoat, them and others.

I'll do the trench for this bit tomorrow. The weldmesh is just a temporary measure to close of the currnet rat runs. They will of course just get in somewhere else but this will slow them down a bit while I work my way around the fence.

This is Lima. She looked a bit off. I gave her a check over. She's not at all bothered by me picking her up. I couldn't feel an egg from underneath or just inside her vent. She laid a soft shelled egg. I just wasn't quick enough to get a picture of it. This lot arrived too quickly.
Lima looked better after the egg came out but not what I would call normal. I'm going to give her some calcium. Bear in mind that Lima will forage at every opportunity and I'm wondering if she is eating enough of the pellets to get sufficient calcium.

Lobo and our lone chick, Lobo is pretty much broke from harassing the chickens. Some of our senior hens put him on the run a few times. LolView attachment 3057802

How wonderful that Lobo is friendly so far.

We got him at 6 weeks and he has been easy to train. Our lone remaining Cinnamon queen scared him pretty good the first time he got too close and she went off on him. He now wonders among them freely with no issues.

Lety rehomed another young rooster from our youngest tribe. I liked him but it does cut down on the sparring and over harrassment of the hens in that group. Two roosters for about 8 hens in that tribe. Plus the rooster went to a tribe that has no other roosters so it's a win for everyone.
