So sorry to hear this. Sounds like the right choice.Well, I have made the difficult decision to have this scissor beak chick euthanized. I thought the mash was working, but despite her enthusiasticly pecking at it, she's not actually getting any down.![]()
Good for you! The new coop looks good too.I gave my first public talk on chicken keeping this week. Eleven people which was apparently a good turnout. I'm going to be doing another at my elder sisters group in June.
I did okay. Lots of questions at the end.

I'm slightly puzzled that delivery people don't bring things through to where they need to be. I'm used to heavy loads being placed exactly where I need them. I would've thought vendors would want to see their products delivered properly for higher ratings on review sites.I'm home at last.
This is the coop. It seems sturdy enough. I've rolled it around, dragged it, and upended it over and over to move it and nothings fallen off or broken yet.
We carried it to just outside the chicken coop run today. I'll get it through the allotment fence tomorrow on my own without much trouble. I may even get it through the coop run gate on my own tomorrow.View attachment 3128574View attachment 3128575View attachment 3128576
