Sssssssshhhh You're not supposed to mention this.Surely if a chicken catches highly contagious, by the time a human notices, they've all got it.
Isolation does make sense in some cases but not for the permanent coop and run keepers when it comes to infectious diseases.
I'm fairly attentive and it can take me a couple of days to notice there may be something unexpected seriously wrong. Chickens have off days.
If one keeps multiple groups then isolating that group from the others and crossing ones fingers seems sensible.

) lives with an old man. If you are prepared to stand there long enough the old man will come out and tell you about his friend. The relationship seems to be based around the old man and the rooster swearing at each other when they meet. It goes something like this. The old man comes out of the house. The rooster sees him and charges at him stopping just short of the old man, leaning back his head and giving a loud crow. The old man tells the rooster where to go in language I'll pretend I didn't understand. Then they both go about their business.
