@Shadrach : you said on my thread you found some milk thistle but you didn't say if you tried it on your lot or if they liked it. I am curious to know if it's just my barmy lot who go nuts for the stuff.

I did give them what I found and they ate it so I guess they liked it.
I need to have a bit of a wander around the next field along. It's quite unkept so I may find more.

I'm pretty sure it's about information technology.

It's a fun bookclub! We discussed The Ethical Algorithm on Monday, and before that we did All the Ghosts in the Machine, Data Feminism, and Addiction by Design. Last year's book list held similar titles.

Later this year are Alone Together, Why the Future is Workless, How to Destroy Surveillance Capitalism, and Conscientious AI.

I look forward to it. I doubt there's sufficient political will in Australia to actually do anything about a workless future, so to an extent I hope it doesn't come to pass too soon.

Hoe did you cope today Shadrach?

The trains on the line I use ran as normal today. Tomorrow the strike continues.
I'll get there earlier and leave earlier as I did before.
I think I need to find one of those old pump trollies like you see in some of the American Westerns.

I painted random swirls inside mine, it was boring otherwise

I have to hold my hand up to the possibility that I may be doing what some Americans call, over thinking, and this could apply to the whole project.

I've got some pet friendly paint. It's green so I could do leaves.

I'll read it tomorrow.
He ( I think) is pretty prolific. Most of what he writes is reasonable both in content and style. I prefer the articles with a personal viewpoint, with links/references to experiments etc, and pictures.
What I'm not sure of is the point. There are lots of very competent articles on the topics he covers already.

How are they doing?

Well, Sky is still alive, despite it looking like she doesn't eat. The babies are doing great. I thought she was going to have them on the roosting bars last night, but Mr. Bumble chased her off. I do not understand his newfound hostility towards her. He ignores the babies though.
