I think you are going to need to take over more of that big field.Really need Frets lot to be independant before I consider letting Mow sit and hatch.
we have all three of those here and the chickens just ignore them, but obviously if you feel more comfortable moving them out, you go for it! It sounds like you are really transforming your chickens' livesI just need to move some potentially dangerous plants. (Hydrangeas, Gladiolas and English Ivy.)
Ditto on the plants, not so much as an exploratory nibble. They do like the Japanese Windflower at the moment thoughwe have all three of those here and the chickens just ignore them, but obviously if you feel more comfortable moving them out, you go for it! I worry, because they have been raised by me, not a wise mother hen to teach them what is safe and what isn't. If I tell them no, they just laugh at me and do it anyway. They bring me lot's of joy and watching them explore and use their new space is fun.Ditto on the plants, not so much as an exploratory nibble. They do like the Japanese Windflower at the moment though
Them’s going to be some happy chickens MrsNorthie!
Perris, if you end up with chicks may I suggest Mumbles as a Welsh place that would make a good name for a chook? It'd be especially amusing for a cockerelPolka is now in broody jail, while her wild child novice broody is going to need close watching. I set some eggs under her this morning, and she has since twice gone back to the neighbouring box. Hey ho
