They are a pain in the rear. When Laserbeak had bumblefoot, her foot feathers got in the way of the vetwrap.

And they get sticky when one tries to apply vaseline to the feet and legs.

Damp and gloomy. We got out for a couple of hours but we all looked a bit dejected as the damp fog made it's way up to the field.
When the sun shines the autumn colours look glorious along the Avon gorge.
Fret is looking a bit scruffy. She's left it late to moult.
Sylph is on the nestbox ledge sulking because she can't get on the end of the roost bar.
