But anything from grass-fed ruminants is likely to be better than the equivalent from feedlot-fed ruminants, simply as nutrition, and quite apart from the moral case of the better lives lived by animals on pasture.
 
Too bad my husband is allergic to olives, and anything avocado makes me gag. We mostly use butter or bacon grease to cook.

The sawdust is to cover mushy mud bits in the run, I was slipping so much I almost fell right on my butt a few times.

Just FYI, avocado oil doesn’t taste or smell like avocados. It is a neutral cooking oil.
For some reason it is eye-wateringly expensive too.
 
There is a brand we use that I absolutely love. This stuff is magical on just about anything, especially burgers:

But, that's *flavoured*! I like mayo for the mayo flavour. (yes, I'm picky!)

There was only one type available here, and it wasn't that one.
 
Why do you chop the leaves? My chickens seem to be quite efficient at leaf-chopping so I give the task to them.

Interesting on the oils by the way. I use olive oil and for high temperature cooking, avocado oil. Sometimes a splash of peanut or sesame oil for specific flavors.
The leaves get chopped because I collect them using my lawnmower. It's fairly efficient at sucking up drifts of leaves.
