Mow, you go, girl! Two and a half hours today. More rain this morning and a bit more this afternoon. I'm not complaining. We need it.
I forgot to take their treat today. You should have seen the looks I got when I offered some bird food from a small bag I keep for the small wild birds.
Mow pecked me after I had offered her that!
There is still more bickering than I would like but otherwise they're getting on okay. They spread shortly after they got on to the run, mainly I think because Fret was laying an egg. Once Fret came out I herded them into a group and they pretty much stayed as a group until roost time. There is no roosting pattern these days.
Mow is usually the last in if the weather is okay. Most evenings she goes around the back of the coop run towards the greenhouses while the others sit on the extension roost bar. I have to go and keep an eye on her and if necessary herd her back to the coop if I hope to catch the 9.45 bus.

How wonderful.Look what I saw when I put out tea for the flock

It was actually the flock that alerted me to it - Hensol especially

and Cadle was particularly interested - I don't think she's seen one before; Wig was a bit more reserved

It looked pretty healthy to me, so is probably out in the daytime because it's a nursing or soon-to-be mother. Which is great of course - more hedgehogs!
We will miss you. Hope everything is, or turns out to be, OK.I'm not going to be on byc much for a few days.
