Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

So a few days ago my 17 week old Hubbard JA757 started laying. I have had 2 fairy eggs that were laid around noon. Yesterday I had a shell less egg that was laid in the very early morning, I am talking before 6 AM. The fairy eggs were laid on the floor of the coop, while the shell less egg was laid on the top of a table in the coop. The Hubbards roost now on that table (guess they were definitely behind the potato incident). This morning before 7:30 AM I found this:

I know stuff happens with pullets that start laying, but finding this on top of the table has me a little worried. I assume this is from 1 bird btw. Her behaviour has also changed, she now stays inside the coop more. This afternoon she just sat on top of the table and turned out while "panting". The other CX stay with her but they don't pant at all, so I am bit worried if everything is alright with her.

Hopefully she will straighten out the laying in a week or so. But the panting is concerning
