Two hours this afternoon. It felt cold. It was windy and it rained a bit. The picture tells the story. I'm sitting inside the coop extension with Glais, Mow and Sylph.
We did get out despite the weather.
Checking for the remains of the half can of tuna I took them.
Things have changed. I hand fed their tuna for a while. I offered Glais the first piece and I made it a large bit, he dropped it for Mow. I did it again. He dropped that bit as well. Then I gave him a piece about quarter of the size and he ate that.
He found a large bug in the compost. He called Mow for that.
This are the kind of things I expect to see from a cockerel maturing into a decent rooster.
He's still not sure what to do about Mow wandering off further into the field than he considers safe. If I go and stand by Mow he'll come over and I can then leave and he'll stay with her. But, he is venturing further into the field in general.
Over the last couple of days he's been less grumpy about Sylph and the roosting disputes are over for now at least.
