How will they keep the sows from crushing their young?

Glais has an amazingly bright green patch on his side that you can really see in that last picture. Two hours with no rain. I dragged them all out and marched them around the top part of the field.
Lots of worms in the compost heap when I dug a bit over for them; not interested.
Herded them over to a plot they've found lots to eat on in the past; not a lot of interest there either.
Less inclined to head for the coop than last outing. I wonder if Glais is learning anything from these highly supervised outings. He seemed comfortable enough out today. Initially he hung behind a bit but after fifteen minutes or so he was moving with the hens.

most of mine ignore earthworms too; they are far more interested in any arthropods in the compost.Lots of worms in the compost heap when I dug a bit over for them; not interested.
Will do for that cutieRemember to leave out some grubblies & blueberries for Skekkers Claus on Christmas Eve

I really like the 4th and 5th photos in this post, the trio walking away, and then the one of the two gals. Two hours with no rain. I dragged them all out and marched them around the top part of the field.

I don't know. Maybe given enough space it's not as much of a problem. How will they keep the sows from crushing their young?
