Remember to leave out some grubblies & blueberries for Skekkers Claus on Christmas Eve

Two hours with no rain. I dragged them all out and marched them around the top part of the field.
Lots of worms in the compost heap when I dug a bit over for them; not interested.
Herded them over to a plot they've found lots to eat on in the past; not a lot of interest there either.
Less inclined to head for the coop than last outing. I wonder if Glais is learning anything from these highly supervised outings. He seemed comfortable enough out today. Initially he hung behind a bit but after fifteen minutes or so he was moving with the hens.

Glais has an amazingly bright green patch on his side that you can really see in that last picture.

most of mine ignore earthworms too; they are far more interested in any arthropods in the compost.

The spur buds are really visible on Glais' legs now, moreso than on Merioneth's or Talgarth's I think.

I hope the unwell among your family Shad recover enough to enjoy something of Christmas; the weather at least is forecast to be a bit more uplifting than it has been of late. Dry and sunny is most welcome ! We still have a big hole in the border here, but it's not full of water, which is progress.

I really like the 4th and 5th photos in this post, the trio walking away, and then the one of the two gals.
