I sold the Lamp Totem today to a friend of my niece. She came to look at my work, picked Totem up and said 'I want this one. How much is it.' Later that day she came around with the money.

Good grief no. 120 Euros. I've known her for a long time and she's bought it for a present for her mum who has seen my work at the fairs but never had the money spare to buy anything.
I know. I'll never be a rich man.

Wedding cups.

I had a spell of making spoons.

I got sick of plastic dustpans and brushes.

One of my favourite bowl stands.

The truth is I was never going to be happy with this. It's sat on my table glowering at me and if it was winter I fancy it might been burnt by now.
There are just too many problems. Apart from the constraints imposed by the interesting bit at the front the dead wood areas inside all those groves cannot be cut out without destroying the look of the front. Dead wood in itself isn't so much of a problem apart from it doesn't take polish and the colour gives it away.
Anyway, this is as good as it's going to get. It's a nice enough thing and it may well sell at a fair.
