Shakespearean Insult Generator

One of my lawyer bosses is also in a community acting theatre. He's absolutely unbearable when he's preparing for a play. Right now it's "Lady Windemere's Fan" by Oscar Wilde, but it's been mostly Shakespeare up til now. He goes around talking in an Elizabethan accent and getting his hair cut to look like his character. Just makes me want to waffle him across the noggin with something.

He also comes in from his lunchtime weights workout without showering first. Here's a perfect comment for him, next time: Bathe thyself, thou craven barnacle!

Well, it *is* just a piece of clothing, and Shakespeare is known for his bawdiness.

I'll change it, though.

You'd be surprised at the kind of offensive stuff that is in Shakespeare (unless you study it and get to know it). The first scene of "Romeo and Juliet" -- taught in most American high schools to ninth graders -- is full of very vulgar language and suggestiveness. Since we don't always take the time to pick it apart and show the kids where the naughty stuff is, it goes right over the kids' heads. People in Shakespeare's day would have realized immediately how violent the characters in that scene really are, though.
